Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii is the sequel to the cosmic platform hit from 2007. As in the original, players defy gravity and hop from planet to planet. In doing so, they explore completely new galaxies and come across completely unknown features and challenges. On some levels, Mario can team up with his dinosaur friend Yoshi, who - for example - grabs objects with his tongue and then spits them back at his opponents. As a new tool, players receive a super drill with which they can drive tunnels through the hardest rock.
For all Wii fans, it's time to buckle up and get ready to start in a new gaming universe. The countdown has begun: on June 11, the eagerly awaited 3D platformer Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii will finally take off. While shooting stars are raining down, Mario and Peach want to celebrate the Stardust Festival together. Suddenly, a gigantic Bowser appears, using the power of the stars, and kidnaps the princess. Oops, he's done it again! Mario and his fans start their mission through the galaxy to save Princess Peach. Once the first level of the game has been completed, players can use the Mario spaceship, a complete planet in Mario's shape. With each galaxy whose challenges they overcome, more and more funny characters and features come into play.
Two Mario costumes are completely new: As Cloud Mario, players can create three cloud platforms for the first time, allowing them to soar high into the air. As Rock Mario, on the other hand, they simply crash into their enemies or objects, revealing new things in the process. And Mario's loyal friend Yoshi also has a fantastic new ability: when he eats lightbulb-like berries, he emits a bright light afterwards that illuminates even the darkest corners. But only for a limited time! In order to progress safely, he and Mario must always bring enough glowing berries. Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii is galactic fun for young and old. And if you get stuck in a level, you can get help from the Cosmo Assistant. This new help mode guides players through difficult passages.
