In Summer Athletics 2009, a fierce battle for medals and places on the podium breaks out: athletes from all over the world sprint, throw, jump and swim for victory. Millimeters and hundredths of a second decide. When playing together with friends and family, the living room quickly turns into a stadium: up to four players can compete against each other. In Summer Athletics 2009, you can chase records together, beat personal bests and finally celebrate the big victory as a team. The athletes compete in 28 summer disciplines. These include the 100-meter run, diving, javelin throwing and high jump. With interesting game modes, perfectly adapted controls and a contemporary look, Summer Athletics 2009 offers relaxed fun and challenging gameplay at the same time. Various levels of difficulty ensure that beginners and professionals are equally challenged.

Play all disciplines in either Sport or Arcade mode. Sport mode is aimed at the purists among sports fans, as the outcome of a competition depends solely on the performance of the athlete. In Arcade mode, intelligent use of boosts is also necessary to win the competition. Challenge your friends in Hot Seat or Split Screen multiplayer mode, unlock achievements by completing special tasks and create your own competitions. Attention all Balance Board owners! At Summer Athletics 2009 you have the opportunity to hold a unique Balance Board Cup in your living room stadium.

Berlin Mode In the unique Berlin Mode you have the opportunity to be there at the 2009 Athletics World Championships in Berlin. You play through all the World Championship competitions according to the real schedule and fight for every single gold medal.
